Mother's Hamburger Pot Luck (Mother) 1# dry Lima Beans 1# Ground Beef 1 medium Onion-chopped 1 tsp salt 1 1/2 Tbsp Mustard 1/3 cup Vinegar 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce 3 Tbsp bacon drippings 1 tsp Chili Powder 1 can Tomatoes |
| Soak beans overnight in 6 cups warm water. Cover and cook slowly until tender. Drain and reserve 1 1/2 cups liquid. Add seasonings, vinegar, and soup to bean liquid. Brown meat and onion in drippings and add sauce. Arrange beans and sauce in alternate layers in deep baking dish. Bake at 350-375 degrees 45 minutes. |
