Fresh Strawberry Pie

Line baked pastry shell with halves of fresh
strawberries. Top with the following sauce:

1 cup sugar
4 Tbsp cornstarch
pinch of salt
1 cup water
1/2 small package strawberry flavored gelatin.

Cook sugar, water, cornstarch, and salt until thick. Add gelatin. Stir until disolved. Let cool until thick, but not set. Pour over berries. Top with whipped topping. Refrigerate.
